PATRICIA DOMÍNGUEZ | EYES OF PLANTS

AUGUST 26–SEPTEMBER 30, 2020

NSFW/SVILOVA is proud to present an online screening of Chilean artist Patricia Domínguez’s film Eyes of Plants (2019).

The film is a vibrant and dreamlike reflection about the present-day intersection between ancient traditions and digital technologies. Exploring our technological innovations and how we organize ourselves in a globalized world, Domínguez helps us re-interpret the sacred notion of nature in the digital age. Eyes of Plants reminds us that perhaps, we are living in a transitional period in which humanity is moving towards a new stage where technology and nature will inexorably merge and become a source of knowledge and understanding of the world to come.

The online screening is accompanied by a text written by the Chilean curator and creative researcher Carolina Martínez.

Eyes of Plants was commissioned by Gasworks in London.
